Flexible Spending Accounts
| |
|
|
A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is a benefit plan administered by
Self Funding Administrators that can effectively help you save money.
FSAs help reduce your expenses by allowing you to pay for eligible out-of-pocket
health care and/or dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.
Each year you decide how much you wish to contribute to each account
based on your needs.
Health Care Account
Your health care account can
be used for out-of-pocket medical plan deductibles, co-payments,
prescription co-pays and other medical, dental or vision expenses not
covered by your employer's plan. |
|
Dependent Care Account
If you meet the legal guidelines,
eligible expenses can include day care and pre-school costs for
children, at-home care providers and adult day care facilities. |
For further information on establishing your FSA please contact your
human resource department or call our customer support line.

The Benny Pre-Paid Debit Card
The Benny Card is a pre-paid debit card that affords easy
access to the pre-tax dollars set aside in your Flexible Spending Account.
It can be used to purchase products or services reimbursable under your flex plan guidelines.
Only those expenses that are eligible according to FSA regulations will be authorized. You
should always save your receipts as SFA may request them to verify expense eligibility.
You may still submit receipts to SFA if you are unable to use the card
for any reason.
You will receive a monthly statement providing up-to-date information
about your account. You may also visit the Benny website
at https://www.mybenny.com/ to
view your account information at any time.
Once you have enrolled, the Benny Card will be mailed to
you along with detailed information regarding the use of the card. If
you have any questions regarding the card, your account, or eligible
expenses, please contact our Flex Plan Administrators, Michele Ranson at ext. 628. |
